Gorgeous ~425 sq ft alcove studio with incredible views in an ideally-located, modern building with amenities! No brokers fee, rent stabilized. I am only leaving because I got laid off + my family on the west coast needs me home, otherwise I would very happily stay in this apartment.
The apartment: The bed alcove and separate kitchen makes it feel more like a one bedroom than a studio. New appliances (incl. dishwasher), central A/C, lovely light oak floors, white walls, big bathroom with a great shower/tub. Facing WNW so you get beautiful sunsets and can see the State of Liberty. Really private because there's only one other building up this high and it's far enough away that you can't see in. Two sizeable closets so plenty of storage. Black stone countertops with nice green glass tile backsplash, big sink, great dishwasher. I have a dresser dividing the bedroom alcove from the living room, and you could easily do curtains or a big bookshelf if you wanted more separation.
The building: It's really great and easy, with super helpful and friendly front desk (24/7) and maintenance crew. Front desk recieves and stores your packages. Neighbors are quiet and chill, there are lots of well-behaved dogs around to say hi to. If you have a pet there's no additional fee! The laundry room is clean and there are always machines available. Fully-equipped gym with daily classes. Roof deck, BBQs, lounges (monthly amenities fee for gym + lounge access). Bike parking.
The location: It's IDEAL, just a few blocks to Fort Greene Park and the lovely farmers market on Saturdays, beautiful brownstones and historic Fort Greene, tons of great restaurants on DeKalb and Fulton Aves (Miss Ada, Sailor, Theodora, Strange Delight, Roman's, etc.). Close to TONS of transit. Just a few blocks from 11 subway lines and the LIRR. Near Target, Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, Mr. Mango. Brooklyn Academy of Music, Barclays, Center for Fiction, Greenlight Books.

Application fee $20, security deposit $1000 with good enough credit (I think over 700). You will apply directly with the building leasing office, who will handle the whole process.
