Hello,

I am subletting my studio for a few weeks this summer. The apartment is located at W. 70th and Amsterdam, across from Café Luxembourg, and is a two minute walk from the express 1/2/3 at 72nd street. One stop to Times Square, 20 minutes to FiDi. Easy access to downtown Brooklyn. Trader Joe’s, Fairway, Whole Foods, Central Park, Riverside Park, etc are all within walking distance. The unit is on the third floor of the building, up two flights of stairs. The landlady will only allow the space to be rented to one individual.

The apartment is fully furnished and has a small kitchen with a movable island for prepping meals. There is a walk-in closet, as well as underbed storage space. No dishwasher. Rent is $2,500 / month including WiFi and would be prorated based on the length of your stay. Gas and electric are not included and can be around $200 / month during the summer depending on how much you run the AC. First month + $750 deposit required to move in, and final month's utilities will be deducted from the deposit. No pets allowed, sorry. There is no laundry in the building, but there are several laundromats within a 5-6 minute walk.

The landlady occupies the first two floors of the pre-war building. There are only four total units, and the walls are thick, so it’s very quiet. The sublet would require a background and credit check, which I would pay for, and the landlady would also like to briefly speak to potential subletters in person or over FaceTime.

This is a short-term sublet available over the summer only. At the longest, the apartment could be rented from 06/03/2025-08/17/2025. I would prefer to return to the city closer to the beginning of August, so preference will be given to candidates who can vacate the apartment by 8/7 or so. I am also happy to consider people who want to rent only for June and part of July.
