Unit:
Amazing views, and windows looking to Manhattan (you can see billionaire’s row, and the Empire state Building), Astoria, and LIC area. There is an in-unit washer and dryer, has a heating and AC system. One of the best parts about the unit is that it is secluded from all the city noise, it’s so quiet! The bathroom, cupboards, and the closets are quite spacious. The ceilings are tall giving the unit a more refreshing feel and space. My monthly utility bills have been under 30 so far, considering I’ve used the heater most of the time during the colder seasons. It’s a beautiful unit with a lot of sunlight!
Building:
Jackson Park LIC is one of the best buildings in Long Island City, Queens. The google reviews will attest to that! Moreover, the building is well maintained (clean), with great amenities (which is not included in the rent), and the management team is exceptional. There is a dog park outside, a private building garden, a ping pong table, and a bbq area. The building also has dedicated amenities building called “The Club.” They have a basketball court, two swimming pools, a squash court, a gym, a yoga studio, a pilates studio, a spa studio, a golf simulator, and study lounge. There is a weekly cleaning throughout the whole building.
Area:
The E, M, and R train are located right outside the building. The G train to Brooklyn is within a 6-10 min walking distance, and the N, W, 7 trains are about a 5 min walk away. Access to so many trains are such a blessing if you commute a lot. There’s a lot of grocery shopping options, numerous asian markets, cafes, and restaurants (and food trucks) in the area. It’s a nice area away from all the city bustle and hustle, but still is lively. Safety-wise I have never felt unsafe in the area, even during the night.
Job Relocation
Free furniture including dining table, 4 chairs, a mattress, shoe rack, clothes rack, hangers, and kitchen utensils. But, of course, these all could be moved if you want the unit unfirnished.
The management team requests us to fill out a lease agreement form. And will ask about documents for background check if necessary (which can include tax returns, credit check, and/or letter of employment). For me personally, I used a third party guarantor (theguarantors.com) to be my guarantor for all the financial background checks.
