Lease takeover of a beautiful, spacious, sun-filled room with ample storage and a private terrace in a 3-bedroom apartment on Roosevelt Island.

The large windows and sliding glass door to the terrace, with an additional screened door, let in a lot of beautiful light. Each room in the apartment has its own air conditioning/heating unit, with modern appliances (stove, oven, microwave, and dishwasher). The bathroom is clean, spacious, and shared. Compared to the other rooms, this one has an additional closet outside the bedroom door for extra storage.

The common spaces are also very spacious, with lots of storage in the kitchen.

The building has various amenities, including a newly expanded gym, concierge desk, three elevators, mail room, laundry room, outdoor courtyard, enclosed work area by the lobby, foosball table, and rooftop (fitted with a grill and comfortable seating). There is also an option for discounted access to the seasonal outdoor pool. As a building resident, you can access exclusive events and other discounts on island activities and access to the other two buildings’ amenities, which differ only slightly (one building has a pool table). The management and leasing offices are nearby, and management has always been quick to fix any issues.

The area is quiet, with serene little pockets of nature and beautiful flowering trees. Just one train stop from either Queens or Manhattan, Roosevelt Island is home to many families, elderly individuals, and folks with special needs, so it has a very community-like feel and is very safe. Every Saturday, there is a farmer's market, and the island has multiple parks, restaurants, cafes, nail salon, yoga studio, hair salon, art gallery, church, cat sanctuary, library, and grocery/convenience stores. The F train goes directly to the island, which can also be accessed via bike, car, bus, or the famous tram.

The two roommates are lovely, chill, professional women in their early 30s, working from home, with interests in fitness, books, nature, and cats. There is also a loving, furry third roommate, Hunter, who is a very friendly cat. Looking for someone clean, easy-going, and relaxed to take over my lease at this beautiful place.
